Google Microsoft Wars

The big news in SEO has been the Google Microsoft Wars, if you can call it that. Social media is changing the way things are done in SEO and it is difficult to keep up to date. You can read all the twitters, blogs and news reports on SEO, but it never enough to keep up date. This head-to-head meeting of the tech giants Google and Microsoft is about to become like the war between Coke and Pepsi (remember those days?). And it could get nasty. In fact, it could really nasty. And some of those people calling for regulation of the industry just may get what they want. I hope you like riding tidal waves. If regulation, what regulation? I believe the Net should be free and open. Google and Microsoft are to big for there own boots. Not that I would minding some of that stock. will I try and keep you up to date on what is changing. I have had my own personal heath issues recently and that has not helped.

Bing

http://www.bing.com/ is the new Search Engine from Microsoft and Yahoo. We have to start learning how to optimize it.Surfing around the site I was looking for a ToolBar and found something, but could not download it on the computer I am using. Another thing I have noticed with Blogger is the URL's not showing and linking. You use the link bar @ the top left that seems to fix it.I guess you have to get used to Blogger.July was not a good month on the stats.Hope to improve in August

The Death of SEO and who cares what Go ogle does, it does not matter!

I have seem a lot of stuff on the Internet recently saying that SEO is dead! Some of the articles are talking about Social Media, Face book, Twitter etc. SEO is not going to die. There will always be SEO's to help clients and rank their sites to make revenues, Go ogle starts changing things as they do from time to time, it will not take long for the SEO community to latch on what to do to keep their sites ranking and making money. You can link to Justin Harrsions URL
http://www.justinharrison.com/ click on SEO is DEAD and read what he says. When you get to Chapter X as he calls it , the juicy bit he wants some $115 to read it. I have better things to spend my money no,like beer, but what you read before is interesting. He is a good Marketer selling Doom and Gloom for SEO. He has over 10,000 downloads at time I read it,so to that is 10,000 x $115 = $115,000, not bad money. You can search on Death of SEO on Google and there are some more articles. Basic SEO is not going to die, there will always be work for SEO's, just keeping abreast of what Go ogle does with the algorithm is the name of the game and keeping those high SERP ranking for the clients.

The Validator: Multiple Errors!!!: To fix them or not?

On the Internet there are many b logs and web sites on SEO, Search engine optimization, so why is this blog different? I do not have any Certification in SEO or a University Degree in Computer Science, I have learned though the school of hard knocks. I have had to learn everything I know about the subject by trial and error. There are many 101's on the subject on the Internet, books that you can read in your local library, and you can read this site. One of the best books you can actually read is the Dummies Book on SEO. It is one of the best that I have read and it will teach you a lot. Big laugh I can see!!!! Validating the web site's that you have to work on and checking them for errors is important. 98% of them that I see have errors in the coding. Here are the two Valida tors that you should use. http://validator.w3.org/ http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator 98% of them have errors. Mr or Mrs Web Designer who built the site, or SEO Professional that is working on the site, will say what does it matter? It matters a lot. The Google Index Bot will not Index you. Here is what one expert says. Having clean HTML is a very important step. If the crawler gets lost,it has nowhere to go but somewhere else. So if I am wrong some Expert e-mail me and let me. Fixing errors that local web designers build is a lot of work, and the clients get upset when I tell them I they have errors on their sites. So is Validating your www part of SEO. I say it is. If you disagree e-mail or leave a comment on the blog.

How much do SEO Professional's & Company's charge???????

Thousands of dollars and monthly payments like an annuity payment to boot. Check out the prices on some of these local SEO company's,they all do a good job.

http://www.beanstalk-inc.com/
http://www.bigjuicemedia.com/
http://www.emarketing101.ca/jobs/category/search-engine-optimization-seo/
What do I charge? I charge $30 per hour and all clients make a deposit of $600 and then are billed via Pay Pal ongoing. They do not pay, we simple do not do any more work for them. If you have to build a new web site or we have to correct existing errors that is extra. For a small business you would be looking at about $500 to set up a site and rank it.So to hire me you would be looking at about $1000 up front. I consult on how to make money on your web site for your business, service or product on going. There is no contract or fee just an hourly rate of $30. So if spend 1 hour on site that is $30, 10 hours $300 and so on.

Do I offer a free valuation. No.! I do not work for free and am not going to be pumped for free information. I have over 20 years expeience on computers. I know SEO inside out and better still now to make money on the Internet honestly from you web site generating leads and clients. So as an alternative I am more affordable than the competition, and in some cases do a better job. SEO is a shooting galley. All that matters to me is the SERP's and I want to see your www high up there.

Content is King.Spelling, Grammar and Technical Writing Skills a must!!!!!

I will be the first to admit that my grammar, writing and spelling skills are not the best. I was always weak at English when I was a kid at school. I was good with practical skills, but in the Internet world what people read and see is the content of your bog or web site first. This gives people an impression of what you are and what you are about. Practise is the only way. I have even thought seriously of employing the services of a ghost writer, but I will have to do that at a latter date when the money starts rolling in. The best you can do is use a word processor like Word or Open Office and spell check everything you write, post and put on your web site or blog

Content is king. What you put into your blog or web site is what people want to read and learn. So you have to be an expert in your niche choice. With me that is SEO.Search Engine Optermiziation. There are literally hundreds of web sites on the Internet on SEO.So how are you going to beat the competition so to speak? The content is the key. What people have not already written about? Write about your experiences and people will be interested and read it.
